I have been on a composing kick lately.  Here’s a little groove idea that I think is a cool loop.  I’m using the Waves CODEX Synth for the arpeggiator and the East West Forbidden Planet VST for the bass.  Also Toontracks EZ Drummer 3.  Didn’t really do anything with it in terms of mixing but it sounds good to my ears!
